Description: This class is an introduction to Agile practices and the impact they have on a software project. Agile software development methods are widely adopted. But like the adoption of any new process or method, prior planning is needed to make the adoption go smoothly. This class gives you the information you need to plan an adoption of Agile methods in your projects.

You learn best by doing, so we will work on a project together, taking on the different roles throughout the class. Delegates will practice techniques such as writing user stories, creating a project backlog, determining the requirements for an iteration, task creation, assignment and estimation, creating task boards, handling a change request, and writing tests first.

This course is appropriate for anyone who will be working on an Agile team. We recommend that teams take the course together. Not only will all team members understand what Agile can do for them, but the course also provides a good experience in working together as a team in an Agile manner.

  • Understand the impact of Agile development on your project
  • Know the various kinds of work that needs to be done, when, and to what level of detail
