Description: The Rational Unified Process® (RUP®) is actually a process toolkit
that must be tailored to fit your specific projects goals and objectives. RUP® is not an "out-of-the-box solution."
This class focuses on getting started with the Rational Unified Process® by focusing on a specific set of agile
activities and artifacts we call “RUP®-Lite.” RUP®-Lite is an excellent way to begin any new project. It is especially
valuable for those with no previous experience with the Unified Process.
The Rational Unified Process® teaches the agile principles of iterative and incremental development (IID). Agile teams
who master these principles are demonstrably more successful. Unfortunately, many attempts to teach and implement them
have failed. Why? Because actually implementing an iterative and incremental development (IID) practice requires changing
the way the entire organization relates to development. We teach the principles of the Rational Unified Process® in an agile
manner that helps you best achieve results: providing flexible software, agile teams and timely software releases.
Learn to manage a typical Unified Process engagement by studying the core activities and artifacts required on every project.
We call this minimal set of activities and artifacts "RUP®-Lite." This class takes participants through the RUP® project
management workflow with a focus on how they can be applied in an agile software development environment. The course highlights
the most important goals and objectives through practical hands-on exercises.
This class is specifically targeted to software project managers and other interested executives.

"What I like about working with you, Geri, as a RUP mentor is that you take people where they are and help them progress. It is never about you, but about helping the team reach success."
